The first Workshop on Metallization for Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells was held in Utrecht in the Netherlands in October 2008. It was a full day workshop with 18 presentations and 135 participants. Details of the workshop are available at www.ipcrystalclear.info.

Through results to a questionnaire and also in discussions with participants, we received excellent feedback on the workshop. Participants expressed the desire for a follow-up. One year later, the topic has not decreased in importance. Metallization remains one of the key process steps to fabricate solar cells with high performance in a cost-effective way.

Therefore we have decided to organize the 2nd Workshop on Metallization. This will be a two days workshop with focus on R&D from universities and institutes and this time also from the industry. In order to have an effective workshop, which enables maximum interaction and gives room for discussion, we have set a limit to 150 participants.

The 2nd metallization Workshop was held on April 13 to 15, 2010 in Constance, Germany, and was a success.

New per May 2010: The presentations are now available on the program page.
